What makes a strong report
Write down the exact claim, explain the mismatch, link the original post or listing, and cite the source you used to check it. Avoid assuming intent or claiming a sponsorship without evidence.
Platform guide
Document the ad, account, destination, and price before the promotion disappears.
Save the full post or ad, its URL, username, caption, date, product page, price, and any disclosure. Record the exact claim and compare it with a primary source such as the maker’s own specification page. Keep a copy of what you submit.
Use the menu on the Facebook ad or post to find the current Report ad or Report post option. If the sale happens through a marketplace listing, open that listing’s report or seller support flow as well. Save screenshots showing the claim and the account that published it.
When purchased goods differ from the listing, pursue the marketplace’s buyer support or the seller directly. An ad report by itself does not initiate a refund.
