What makes a strong report
Write down the exact claim, explain the mismatch, link the original post or listing, and cite the source you used to check it. Avoid assuming intent or claiming a sponsorship without evidence.
Platform guide
A Reel, story, sponsored post, and product page can each carry different parts of the same sales pitch.
Save the full post or ad, its URL, username, caption, date, product page, price, and any disclosure. Record the exact claim and compare it with a primary source such as the maker’s own specification page. Keep a copy of what you submit.
On the post or Reel, open the three-dot menu and choose the current reporting option. For a story, use its options menu while it is available. A paid ad can also have its own ad-specific report option. Select the reason closest to misleading sales claims or a scam, then include the claim and source where the interface allows.
Capture any paid-partnership label or affiliate link. Missing disclosure requires evidence of a possible brand relationship, not just suspicion that someone was paid.
