What makes a strong report
Write down the exact claim, explain the mismatch, link the original post or listing, and cite the source you used to check it. Avoid assuming intent or claiming a sponsorship without evidence.
Platform guide
See a product claim in your For You feed? Capture the video and its shopping link before the post changes.
Save the full post or ad, its URL, username, caption, date, product page, price, and any disclosure. Record the exact claim and compare it with a primary source such as the maker’s own specification page. Keep a copy of what you submit.
Open the video and use its Share arrow or the available options menu. Look for Report and choose the closest reason for misleading commercial content, scam, or fraud. On paid placements, the ad’s own menu may offer a separate report control. Describe the specific claim and evidence when the form allows it.
If the creator’s video sends viewers to a Shop product, report the listing separately through TikTok Shop. A video report may not address the seller’s product page.
