What makes a strong report
Write down the exact claim, explain the mismatch, link the original post or listing, and cite the source you used to check it. Avoid assuming intent or claiming a sponsorship without evidence.
Platform guide
Identify whether the claim came from a Google-served ad, the video itself, or a creator’s sponsored segment.
Save the full post or ad, its URL, username, caption, date, product page, price, and any disclosure. Record the exact claim and compare it with a primary source such as the maker’s own specification page. Keep a copy of what you submit.
For a paid ad shown before or during a video, look for its ad information or options control and a report option. For claims made in a creator’s own video or Shorts, use that video’s menu and choose Report where available. Capture the video URL and timestamp of the statement.
Note whether there was a paid-promotion label and what evidence you have of a sponsor relationship. If a brand’s linked storefront makes the claim separately, preserve that page as well.
